Abstract
With the help of the numerical simulation it is shown that the probability density function of the phase difference in the two points of speckle-field in the far-field diffraction region can have the maximum for the values of 0 and π radians if the scattering object has symmetric aperture. The histograms of the statistical distribution of the phase difference in speckle-field in the far-field diffraction region are obtained numerically. The results of the numerical statistical experiments confirm the results of the natural experiments with the use of the Young’s interferometer.
