Ivan T. Lima, Jr. received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, in 2003. In 2003, he became a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NDSU, where he is currently an associate professor with tenure. His research interests include optical communications and biomedical engineering. He is a member of SPIE, a senior member of OSA, and a senior member of the IEEE Photonics Society.
