Abstract
Combining traditional culture with modern technology is of great significance of the inheritance and development of human's precious cultural heritage. Taking puppet performance as an example, we applied the popular robot control technology to innovate the control method of the puppet, and design a programmable puppet performance robot. Among them, the programmable module is implemented based on the Android platform. We implemented an application of a concise interface and convenient operation, users can freely combine puppet actions. In order to reduce costs, the electromechanical control system used STM32 series single-chip microcomputer as the core control chip. For the purpose of ensuring the normal communication between the software and the control chip, we designed a communication protocol based on the serial port.
