Our previously proposed pixel-wise structured light system calibration method works well within a depth range. Yet, it is difficult to be employed for large depth range calibration because making a calibration target to achieve high-calibration accuracy is non-trivial. This paper discusses two possible means to address this challenge, adapting the standard feature detection algorithm and employ another step to create pixel-wise error functions by measuring a flat surface. Experimental results demonstrate that either method could further improve measurement accuracy of the pixel-wise calibration method, especially for large depth range measurements.
