Abstract
The mean wavelength vs. pump power,? (P), is strongly dependent on fiber length, L, in Er3+ superfluorescent sources for gyroscopes. Instabilities can be eliminated by optimizing L, reducing d ? /dT to the ? 5 ppm/°C intrinsic variation.
