Abstract
Effects of appearance of speckle contrast maxima in the far diffraction zone have been studied for the case of single scattering structures with fractal distributions of boundary field phase. Band-limited Weierstrass function has been chosen as the scattering structure model. One of the possible applications of the presented below analysis is the study of the biotissues scattering structures or scattering surfaces with complex topography. Obtained results seem very prospective for the development of the coherent diagnostic technique on the basis of speckle intensity statistical analysis.
