Abstract
An analysis of the intensity distribution related to the phase properties due to single scattering from 2D random rough surfaces is presented. It is shown that the intensity can be reduced or enhanced near the specular direction. These effects are termed phase-related specular side- reduction and phase-related specular side-enhancement. The experiments show good agreement with the analyses.
