Abstract
The electrical and the surface morphological properties of BSCCO thin films samples were studied before and after 10.6 μm CO2 laser irradiation in O2 controlled atmosphere. Samples were prepared using standard molten and annealing techniques. Temperature dependence of the electrical resistance was measured by usual four points procedure inside a Helium cryostat. Morphological analysis was performed by atom force microscopy. Results show changes in the critical temperature depending on the O2 pressure. Morphology study shows changes in surface roughness depending on the laser power and the irradiation time.
