Abstract
A 24 cm gain-shifted Tm3+-Yb3+-codoped tellurite fibre employing novel high concentration doping technique and using 980 nm diode laser single-wavelength pumping is demonstrated with a maximum gain of 6 dB at 1490 nm and a gain range of 1475~1505 nm.
