Abstract

Atomic and Molecular Physics is a discipline rich with discoveries in quantum science. Over the last century, these discoveries have repeatedly transformed scientific and technological landscapes and continue to do so, ultimately changing our way of life. This talk introduces the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), a part of the Air Force Research Laboratory that funds work satisfying the basic research needs of the Air Force and Space Force, and offers an overview of the Atomic and Molecular Physics portfolio at AFOSR.
