Abstract

A well-defined business opportunity should have a clear and concise goal. This book's goal is to define the key elements that transform good technology into meaningful products that are both relevant to customer needs and cost effective. Specifically, can the technology be the basis for meeting a defined customer need? Can it be reproduced consistently and can it be manufactured cost effectively? This theme will be explored throughout the book. While conceptually simple, implementation is often complicated.
