Abstract
Image fusion is a naturally existing mechanism that appears in nature, from animal vision to human vision. This book presented a comprehensive view of image fusion, including motivations, concepts, and methods, with an appreciation of comparative evaluations and diverse applications. For convenience, this chapter provides brief summaries of image fusion methods, evaluations and applications. Concluding remarks and future trends are given at the end to inspire readers to carry on the image fusion research.
