Abstract
Slightly rough interfaces, liquid turbulence, and randomly inhomogeneous optical crystals are the objects of interest in this chapter. As it is passed through such objects, a probing laser beam becomes randomly modulated in phase, and the phase variance of the field behind the object will be small. Such objects are often referred to as random phase objects (RPOs).
