Since the 20th century, China's economy has developed rapidly, and its electricity consumption has risen rapidly. Around 2010, a large number of infrastructure power plants were launched. So far, the aging of important components of electrical secondary equipment has become a very serious problem. In recent years, there have been many non-stop accidents caused by aging of important electrical secondary equipment such as protection device, excitation system and automatic control device, which have brought huge economic losses. This paper mainly introduces the non-stop accidents caused by the aging of the components of the electrical secondary equipment and puts forward the idea of solving them. A new monitoring system is developed to give early warning to the aging of the components and improve the safe and stable operation of the power plant.
