Continuous phase modulation, as the constant-envelop digital modulation scheme, has high spectral and power efficiency. However, how to realize the low-complexity demodulation for continuous phase modulation scheme is a challenge. In this paper, we give a new demodulation method based on maximum a posteriori probability and tilted-phase algorithm for continuous phase modulation scheme. Compared to the typical Viterbi algorithm, the proposed new demodulation algorithm can obtain similar demodulation performance. Moreover, the new algorithm does not require the redundancy modulation symbol to provide auxiliary information. The transmission efficiency is higher.
