Dr Akin received his PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University in 1998. Holds a BS degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University. He serves as the Dean of Faculty of Engineering at Acibadem University since 2015. His interests are in functional neuroimaging, fNIRS, mathematical physiology and biodesign.
