Abstract
Plastics are used as a construction material in many branches of industry, in particular in the biomedical industry, mechatronics, electronics, automotive industry and chemical devices. The study presents the results of the tests on the effects of micromachining of elastomeric materials with UV Laser Marker. The analysis of the impact of machining parameters on the performance and the quality of machining was the key point of the study, which allowed to recommend the most favourable machining parameters for materials, such as fluorinated elastomer (FPM) and silicone (MVQ). The authors perceive the prospective application of the developed technology in sealing and microfluidization. The results of the tests on the frictional resistance reduction of a pneumatic actuator with a piston sealing and a textured friction face are presented in the final part of the study.
