Abstract
The article explores the possibility of detecting signs of internal waves in the southern part of the Sea of Japan (East). An analysis of the motion of an internal wave packet in the southern part of the Sea of Japan (East) was carried out using medium-resolution satellite data from a GOCI radiometer installed on a COMS geostationary satellite. The spatiotemporal characteristics of internal waves are estimated with modeling of the corresponding vertical distributions of chlorophyll-a using oceanographic data and measurements. The approximate amplitudes of the internal waves and their comparative analysis are calculated with the additional use of data from the reanalysis of the HYCOM model.
