Abstract
Mechanical properties or As-S, As-Se and Ge-As-Se glass fibers have been investigated. Bending technique has been employed to measare the strength and to study the dynamic ratigue behaviour of these fibers in various environments. The values o the stress corrosion susceptibility parameter are presented. The median bending strengths o:r 856 JPa and 1.19 GPa have been measured for As-S fibers with £luoropolymer P42 coating in the air at room temperature and in liquid nitrogen, respectively.
