Abstract
The credit assignment has always been one of the hot tasks in the reinforcement learning community, which aims to estimating and deducing the reward for each agent during the decision-making process. In this paper, based on extensive literature research, we first review the existing solutions to the credit assignment issue, and compare the impact of different credit assignment strategies on algorithms’ final performance. In addition, we also summarize the main challenges of credit assignment and give some suggestions for the future research directions.
