Abstract
For the limitation of existing quantitative indexes of Poincaré plot, the included angle cosine measure is proposed in this study. The novel index has the ability to assess the degree of the change of three consecutive RR intervals and remedies the deficiency of the Poincaré plot analysis partly. Finally, PhysioNet/PhysioBank is applied in this study and the experiment results demonstrate the effectiveness of the included angle cosine measure
