Abstract
This paper addresses the issue of cross-reuse functionality among subsystems within a missile weapon system. The objective is to minimize development costs by formulating the missile weapon system's reliability assignment problem as a constrained combinatorial optimization challenge. To solve this problem, a parallel genetic algorithm is employed, utilizing a coarse-grained model and a multi-population evolution strategy. The presented example demonstrates the successful application of the parallel genetic algorithm in effectively solving the problem while achieving a high-quality solution.
