Abstract
The acousto-optic null steering processor (AONSP) implementation of an acousto-optic adaptive processor (AOAP), a specific implementation of the least mean square algorithm in a correlation canceler loop configuration for radar sidelobe jammer rejection, is described. The expected performance of a jamming canceler processor is shown to depend on specific radar and jammer characteristics and on the performance limits of the implemented algorithm. The current status of the AONSP program is summarized.
