Abstract

Coatings for energy efficiency are one of functional thin films which are developing rapidly. In this paper, essential design considerations are given in details and design method of the coatings is also presented. The paper shows spectral properties of bilayer system Ti/TiO₂ and demonstrates that attractive reflection colors are available. The result of the experiment reveals that anti-reflection layer TiO₂ work well to improve visible transmittance and introduce attractive colors.
