Abstract
This article describes three robotic vision applications in power plants. These applications have been developed by CISE and ENEL during the last years, and will be presented in chronological order. The first one is the automatic guidance of a gripper to center on a spent fuel rod head inside the decay pool of a nuclear power plant. The second one deals with the vision system of an autonomous robot for inspection and fault diagnosis inside the electrostatic precipitator of a thermal power plant. The third one is concerned with the volume measurement of coal heaps in the coal storage park of a power plant.
