Abstract
We describe a preionization controlled pulsed hollow cathode discharge producing intense electron beams and electromagnetic radiation. As compared with classical pseudospark our discharge configuration allows to minimize the plasma-wall interaction and, consequently, a drastic reduction of the impurity level.
