Abstract
A frequency domain analysis is presented to determine the crosstalk performance of a tunable wavelength converter based on four-wave mixing (FWM) in a single mode fiber (SMF) with two pump lasers. The results show that amount of crosstalk is less than -30 dBm when wavelength separation of the two pump wavelengths from the probe and input signal is 4 nm and 3 nm with input power of 10 dBm each at a bit rate of 10 Gb/s.
