Abstract
This paper describes a high performance system for transmitting four analogue TV channels up to 5 Km using 850 nm or more than 20 Km using 1300 nm single mode fibre-optic technology without repeaters. The system, based on STL's experience in TV transmission and fibre optics is believed to be the first multichannel laser-based analogue transmission equipment in volume production.
