Abstract
Use of the self-adaptive Nd:YAG laser with dynamically adjustable passive Q-switch allowed to drill high-aspect-ratio holes deeper than 7 mm in steel, aluminium, Ni-based alloy, and ceramics Al2O3, AlN, SiC at the average drilling rate exceeding 1 mm per laser pulse, which is close to the initial drilling rates.
