Abstract
The transmission spectral characteristics of TFBG were reported under a range of curvatures with different axial rotational orientations. The coupling modes as a result of bending were investigated by examining the appearance of new modes, the variation in coupling strength and the chirped resonance due to the variance of the effective tilted angle, coupling coefficient between cladding modes and core mode and the principal strain gradient.
