Abstract
We used terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) technology to measure liquid bactericide quintozene and obtained its absorbance spectrum in THz region. Meanwhile, its theoretical spectrum was obtained by software package Gaussian 03. Experimental characteristic absorption peak in 1.84 THz was agreement with theoretical peak in 1.81THz, which was caused by flexural vibration of the benzene ring. Quantitative experiments were carried out on quintozene MtBE solutions in the concentration range of 30-100 μg/ml. We analyze the relationship with simple linear regression (SLR) method between the amplitude value and concentration of the solutions in 0.1-1.05 THz region, which included the THz pulse peaks and the first order value of the linear fit of absorbance spectrum. The overall results indicate that the simple linear regression is an effective method for the quantitative analysis of quintozene solutions.
