Abstract
Phase Shifting And Logical Moiré (PSALM) is used to analyse projected gratings for profiling the topography of the object. Moiré fringes are generated through logical operations on the digitized image of the projected grating with a computer generated reference. Phase shifting is achieved by translating the reference grating. This enables profiles to be determined easily and with good sensitivity.
