Dr. Rangana Banerjee Chaudhuri is currently working as a Project Leader in Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) Germany in QUEST Institute for Experimental Quantum Metrology. Here, Rangana is responsible for characterizing different integrated components required for optical clocks and quantum computers. She is a project work package leader in QUEST and is responsible for managing EU project with 12 EU partners.

Dr. Rangana received the MSc. Degree in Electronic Science, M.Tech. degree in Radio Physics and Electronics (with specialization in Photonics) and Ph.D. degree from the University of Calcutta , India, in 2010, 2013 and 2021 respectively.

From February 2010 to June 2010, she was a Lecturer in Electronics with the Computer Science department in a college under University of Calcutta, India. From January 2019 to December 2019, she worked with Institute of Industrial automation and Embedded Systems, India where her main responsibilities were to provide trainings on PLC and HMI, organize and present talks and seminars in the automation. Thereafter she worked in Lighmotif Automation Sensors and Systems Pvt. Ltd. now (Sasmos Het Technologies Ltd.), India as a Research Scientist from March, 2020 to April 2021. Her main responsibilities was to design Photonic based microwave and millimetre wave transmitters and receivers.

She joined Radio and Optical Communications Laboratory, School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University, Dublin, Ireland as a Marie Curie co-fund Sparkle Postdoctoral Research Fellow in October 2021 and worked till September 2023.Thereafter she worked as a Research Fellow in the same laboratory till December 2023.

Her research interests include Radio over Fiber, Free space Optics, Optical Communication, THz photonics. She has authored several international journal and conference publications and has also been invited to share her vision through invited talks at conferences and various other technical events.
